Game of Thrones: Series 2 Update
We’ve seen plenty of casting news for HBO’s Season 2 of Game of Thrones but now we’re finally getting to see some actual Thrones action in the new set photos that reveal a couple of familiar faces.
Okay, maybe ‘action’ isn’t the right word since the images appear to be showing Tyrion (Emmy winner Peter Dinklage) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn) hanging out at a marketplace, but it’s still nice to see something coming out of Dubrovnik, Croatia, where Season 2 is currently filming.
According to io9 (who got them from Dubrovacki and Dulist,) we’re looking at a market in King’s Landing, with scenes that also include a few women wandering around the market, along with a group of soldiers that didn’t mind posing for the camera during a little downtime between takes. We also get to see Dinklage apparently getting some last minute touch-up work done before the cameras start rolling.
It seems like there’s always something going on in Westeros, so there’s a pretty good chance that this isn’t just an ordinary shopping trip and it should be interesting to see what events might unfold while Tyrion and Bronn are in King’s Landing. Judging from the look on Dinklage’s face, Tyrion isn’t too happy about the way things are going.

Game of Thrones: Series 2 Cast: Van Houten, Dillane, Cunningham
July 2011 - HBO’s Emmy-nominated fantasy ‘Game of Thrones’ is gearing up for its second season with a trio of new players. Stannis Baratheon, Davos and Melisandre, all major characters from the George R. R. Martin novels.

Fresh off three major Emmy nominations for Game Of Thrones, HBO has announced a trio of new cast members. Carice van Houten, Stephen Dillane and Liam Cunningham will join the cast for Season 2.
Easily the biggest player as far as the larger Game of Thrones story is concerned is Dillane, who’ll take the role of Stannis Baratheon. Stannis is the late King Robert’s younger brother (but older than “King” Renly), the true successor that Eddard Stark tried to set on the throne instead of Prince Joffrey.
